Background: Interventricular septal dissection is a critical disease characterized by the separation of the intraventricular septum into two layers, forming an intermediate layer with a cystic cavity that communicates with the root of the aorta or ventricle. It has low morbidity and high mortality rates.

Case Presentation: Case 1: A 58-year-old male with a history of hypertension and smoking presented to a local hospital due to chest tightness and pain for 4 days.

Background: Dermatomyositis is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting muscles and skin, often associated with an increased risk of cancer. Specific autoantibodies, including anti-TIF1 (Transcription Intermediary Factor 1), have been linked to this risk. We present a case of dermatomyositis in a male patient positive for anti-TIF1 antibodies, subsequently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil, a novel association not previously documented.

Purpose: We examined the impact of the COVID-19 consortium recommendations on the surgical management of breast cancer during the first year of the pandemic.

Methods: Patients with newly diagnosed ER + DCIS, ER- DCIS, AJCC Stage cT1-2N0-1 ER + , HER2-, HER2 + , and triple negative breast cancer were identified from the National Cancer Database from 2018 to 2021. An interrupted time series design evaluated differences in surgical delay and use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy/immunotherapy (NAC) and endocrine therapy (NET) before and after the pandemic.

Hypoxia poses a serious challenge for all animals; however, certain animals exhibit a remarkable resilience in the case of prolonged and severe hypoxia. The Siberian wood frog is a unique amphibian capable of surviving for up to several months at almost complete anoxia. We investigated changes in the metabolome of at the onset of hypoxia (day 1) and within 1 h of reoxygenation after a long-term hypoxia using H NMR.
