We show that a recently proposed solution to the hierarchy problem simultaneously solves the strong CP problem, without requiring an axion or any further new physics. Consistency of black hole physics implies a nontrivial relation between the number of particle species and particle masses, so that with approximately 10(32) copies of the standard model, the TeV scale is naturally explained. At the same time, as shown here, this setup predicts a typical expected value of the strong-CP parameter in QCD of theta approximately 10(-9). This strongly motivates a more sensitive measurement of the neutron electric dipole moment.

Marine biofouling and corrosion have become the main problems affecting the development of the marine industry. Silicone-based coatings have been widely used for antifouling and anticorrosion due to their low surface energy. However, the poor adhesion and low mechanical stability of these materials limit their application in complex marine environments.

Introduction: Mental health service users often have sensory processing difficulties hampering their ability to cope with mental health problems and occupational engagement. However, there is little knowledge of sensory processing and its relation to these factors. Hence, this current study aims to investigate sensory processing patterns in relation to coping and occupational engagement for the target group.

The aim of this study is to investigate the psychometrics of the Dutch version of the Child and Adolescent Trauma Screener (CATS-2). By this, an international recognized instrument to screen symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTSS) in children and adolescents according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5) becomes available for Dutch youth. Based on the validated CATS-2 we established the Dutch version, named the KJTS.

Introduction: The liver is essential for both the body's removal of waste materials and the metabolism of nutrients, it is critical for sustaining general health. However, a number of factors, including viral infections, immune system malfunctions, cancer, alcohol intake, and drug toxicity, are contributing to the rising prevalence of liver problems. Alternative approaches to liver disease treatment are being investigated due to the potential limitations of conventional medical treatments.

Introduction: The current paper aimed to translate psychometric properties and network structure of the Screen for Child Anxiety-Related Emotional Disorders (SCARED-P) in children aged 4 to 7 years in Arabic-speaking countries.
Method: In this study, 646 Arabic-speaking parents of children aged 4 to 7 participated. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to confirm the five-factor structure of the SCARED-P scale.
