We report in this paper the observation of a transition between two different dendritic growth mechanisms in the electrodeposition of a metal from a binary electrolyte. Our results, in particular concerning the dendritic growth velocities, enable us to explain this behavior in terms of models previously proposed in the literature.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a global health concern, with diabetic neuropathy (DN) being a prevalent complication. Current DN treatments focus on blood glucose control and pain management, which show limited efficacy. This study explored the effects of autologous dendritic cell (DC) administration on improving DN symptoms.

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) significantly increases mortality, with patients facing a fourfold risk of death within ten years. Chronic inflammation, marked by transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) activity, contributes to kidney damage and fibrosis. This study investigates the effect of autologous dendritic cells on inflammation and kidney function, focusing on apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), TGF-β, and ICAM-1 levels.

The precise manipulation of PANoptosis, a newly defined cell death pathway encompassing pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, is highly desired to achieve safer cancer immunotherapy with tumor-specific inflammatory responses and minimal side effects. Nonetheless, this objective remains a formidable challenge. Herein, an "AND" logic-gated strategy for accurately localized PANoptosis activation, utilizing composite 3D-printed bioactive glasses scaffolds integrated with epigenetic regulator-loaded porous piezoelectric SrTiO nanoparticles is proposed.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are specialized immune cells that play a crucial role in presenting antigens and activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes to combat tumors. The immune checkpoint receptor programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) can bind to its ligand programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), which is expressed on the surface of cancer cells. This interaction suppresses T-cell activation and promotes immune tolerance.

Due to their high energy density, low cost, and environmental friendliness, aqueous zinc-ion batteries are considered a potential alternative to Li-ion batteries. However, dendrite growth and parasitic reactions of water molecules limit their practical applications. Herein, an ionic liquid additive, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (BMImFSI), is introduced to regulate the electrical double layer (EDL).
