Human fascioliasis is a new parasitic health problem in Egypt. This paper reports a case of ectopic fascioliasis in the right side of the pleural cavity of a farmer.

Background: Ectopic thyroid tissue (ETT) is a rare congenital anomaly caused by the abnormal embryonic migration of thyroid tissue, leading to its presence outside its usual pretracheal location. Intramural pregnancy (IMP) is an extremely rare form of ectopic pregnancy (EP), typically associated with previous uterine trauma, adenomyosis, or assisted reproductive technology (ART), such as embryo transfer (ET). Despite its potentially life-threatening nature, the absence of definitive preoperative diagnostic criteria for IMP complicates its early detection and management, especially in patients without known risk factors. Typically, EBT presents along the mammary line, although usually in the axillary region, it has been located occasionally in unusual sites such as the vulva. Though relatively rare, it is generally subject to a wide range of pathologies that afflict normal breast tissue, encompassing both benign and malignant transformations.

Abdominal ectopic pregnancy is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy associated with high maternal and perinatal mortality. We present a case of a 28-year-old now primipara who was misdiagnosed to have abruptio placentae and ruptured uterus on two different occasions from a primary health care center but was found to have an advanced abdominal ectopic gestation at 21 weeks gestational age. The patient was managed by exploratory laparotomy and is currently doing well.

Low incidence and underreporting of the disease limit our knowledge of these lesions.
