This disease is a threat to public health as years of potential life lost from melanoma deaths constitute an economic and social burden; it is, however, curable if detected early. This study aims to show current trends in clinical trials for melanoma screening.

Background: Designing for Dissemination and Sustainability (D4DS) principles and methods can support the development of research products (interventions, tools, findings) that match well with the needs and context of the intended audience and setting. D4DS principles and methods are not well-known or used during clinical and public health research; research teams would benefit from applying D4DS. This paper presents the development of a new digital platform for research teams to learn and apply a D4DS process to their work.

Aim: To describe the complex roles of and crucial support provided by caregivers to young adults with cerebral palsy (CP) during the transition to adulthood.
Method: This was a qualitative study. We conducted 20 semi-structured interviews (13 caregiver; 7 patient/caregiver dyad) and analyzed data using a qualitative descriptive approach informed by phenomenological principles.

- The study explores how body compassion—viewing one's body with kindness and mindfulness—may help colorectal cancer (CRC) patients adjust psychosocially to their condition and improve their quality of life (QOL).
- Fifty-four CRC patients completed surveys measuring body compassion, distress, loneliness, resilience, and QOL, validating a new measure called the Body Compassion Scale (BCS) with strong reliability (α = 0.94).
- Results indicated that patients with metastatic cancer and those currently in treatment reported lower body compassion, while higher body compassion correlated with reduced distress and loneliness, and increased resilience and QOL, especially linked to specific BCS subscales like defusion.

Background: Hospital-associated functional decline affects nearly one-third of the hospitalized older adults. The aim of this trial is to investigate the effect of a cognitive stimulation intervention provided via immersive virtual reality (IVR), with or without a multicomponent physical exercise intervention (ME) in hospitalized patients aged 75 or older with severe functional dependency at admission (Barthel Index < 60 points).
Methods: This clinical randomized controlled trial will be conducted in the Acute Geriatric Unit of a tertiary hospital in Spain.
