There's something strange about Freud's Civilization and its Discontents (1930). Biologically, Freud was a Neo-Lamarckian, who believed in both the modification of organisms through need and the inheritance of acquired characteristics. However, in Civilization, Freud argued that because human nature is immutable, society has dim odds of improving substantially.

This case report explores various possible causes of late-onset psychosis and highlights the importance of follow-up care. We report the case of a 65-year-old female with minimal available medical history or contacts, who presented to the hospital after being found unconscious after three weeks of strange behaviors, including partition delusions, multiple phone calls and texts to her friend, and lack of sleep. In the following days, she had various symptoms consistent with delirium, psychosis, and mania.

Most students in Health Profession Education courses are new to the world of qualitative research. Faced with the challenge of designing a research project, they are often drawn towards using the questionnaire as a data collection method, commonly assuming that utilising open-ended questions alone constitutes qualitative research design. Designing questionnaires that meet the standards of rigour is challenging, and this common assumption reflects inexperience with and misunderstandings of qualitative ontology, as well as the lack of methodological literature on designing and developing qualitative questionnaires.

Background: The beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic marked a period of uncertainty as public health guidelines, diagnostic criteria, and testing protocols or procedures have continuously evolved. Despite the virus being declared a worldwide pandemic, little research has been done to understand how parents manage caring for their child diagnosed with COVID-19. We sought to understand parents' experiences and information need when caring for a child diagnosed with COVID-19.
