Purpose: To assess the within-session reliability of the Modified Functional Reach Test (MFRT) and the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test in children with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and children with typical development (TD).
Methods: A convenience sample of 24 children with TBI and 24 children with TD matched for age and sex were tested. Following 1 practice trial, 3 trials of the MFRT and TUG were completed and recorded for each child.
Results: Within-session reliability for the MFRT was excellent [children with TBI (intraclass correlation coefficient, ICC (1,1) = 0.92-0.97), children with TD (ICC (1,1) = 0.94-0.95)]. Within-session reliability for the TUG test was good [children with TBI (ICC (1,1) = 0.86), children with TD (ICC (1,1) = 0.85)]. The average of the first and second trials showed the least measurement error for the TUG test.
Conclusion: Within-session reliability values are excellent for the MFRT and good for the TUG test in children with TBI.

Lipedema is a chronic condition characterized by abnormal deposition of subcutaneous adipose tissue, leading to pain. The lack of internationally recognized diagnostic criteria complicates the characterization of pain. Physiological parameters such as pain pressure threshold (PPT) represent promising prognostic markers for diagnosing lipedema, yet they remain understudied.

J Strength Cond Res XX(X): 000-000, 2024-The aim of this study was to establish the reliability and sensitivity of isometric mid-thigh pull (IMTP) and sprint speed (5 m, 40 m, and maximal sprint speed) in adolescent women, before exploring the stability of this across maturation to provide maturity-specific benchmarks.

Temporal binding refers to the subjective shortening of time between a cause and its effect compared with two unrelated events. The effect has been extensively explored over the past two decades and manifests across a robust range of paradigms, reflecting two distinct expressions of binding: (1) the subjective shortening of elapsed time between cause and effect and (2) the subjective attraction of cause and effect to each other. However, whether and how these binding expressions are related is still largely unknown.

The Interpolated Twitch Technique with electrical nerve stimulation (ENS) is the considered gold-standard to assess voluntary activation (VA) but causes discomfort. Magnetic nerve stimulation (MNS) offers a painless alternative, though its validity and reliability remain underexplored. This study validates MNS to ENS and evaluates inter-session reliability in 16 healthy young adults (11 females).
