Background: The goal of hematological response has been well established in the treatment of systemic light chain amyloidosis. However, the pattern of cardiac response remains unknown.

Objectives: This study was designed to investigate the cardiac response dynamics in patients with an early and high-quality hematological response.

Rapid acclimatization to baseline stimulation with a multi-canal vestibulocochlear implant.

Eur Arch Otorhinolaryngol

January 2025

Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Balance Disorders, School for Mental Health and Neuroscience (MHENS), Maastricht University Medical Centre, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Purpose: It is hypothesized that a vestibular implant should re-establish baseline activity of the ampullary nerves. Use of a constant baseline stimulation potentially allows encoding of bi-directional head movements, through the addition of signal modulations. Effective stimulation of the vestibular nerves depends on the ability to acclimate to this baseline signal.

The Diagnostic Utility of TRBC1 Immunohistochemistry in Mature T-Cell Lymphomas.

Mod Pathol

January 2025

Hematopathology Service, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, USA. Electronic address:

T-cell clonality assessment constitutes an essential part of the diagnostic evaluation of suspected T-cell neoplasms. Recent advances in flow cytometry-based analysis of TCR β chain constant region 1 (TRBC1) have introduced an accurate method of assessment of T-cell clonality. Its broader applicability is constrained due to the requirement of viable cells.

In this study, a new deterministic mathematical model based on fractional-order derivative operator that describes the pseudo-recovery dynamics of an epidemiological process is developed. Fractional-order derivative of Caputo type is used to examine the effect of memory in the spread process of infectious diseases with pseudo-recovery. The well-posedness of the model is qualitatively investigated through Banach fixed point theory technique.

Background: The 2023 IPNA guidelines recommended a 12-h mycophenolic acid (MPA) area under the curve (AUC) estimation for managing pediatric nephrotic syndrome and MPA AUC > 50 mg * h/L for an optimal therapeutic response to mycophenolate mofetil (MMF). The IPNA guidelines endorsed two limited AUC formulae based on three-point MPA measurements to predict 12-h MPA AUC. The relative performance of these two limited AUC formulae has not been tested.
