Various hydrophobic benzenediacetic esters, the corresponding benzenedipropionic esters, and branched alkyl esters were intercalated into DMPC liposomes, where the molar ratio (n/n) of ester:DMPC was 1:5. In the case of the very long-chain derivatives, double carbonyl peaks were observed in the 13C NMR spectrum. This doubling phenomenon was observed only for the carbonyl peaks, whose chemical shift is most sensitive to solvent polarity, and disappeared when the ester:DMPC molar ratio drops below 1:15. This doubling reflects the presence of two populations in these samples: one group includes those molecules which are intercalated within the liposome and feel the polarity corresponding to the liposomal microenvironment; the other consists of aggregates of these long-chain derivatives located in the extra-liposomal aqueous phase.

The preservation of the original configurations of root canals during endodontic preparation is crucial for treatment success. Nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary systems have been refined to optimize canal shaping while minimizing iatrogenic errors. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the shaping efficacy of the novel R-Motion (RM) and the established WaveOne Gold (WG) systems using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT).

The depletion of fossil fuels and growing environmental concerns necessitate the exploration of renewable energy sources. Biodiesel, a promising alternative fuel derived from sustainable feedstock, has attracted considerable attention. This study investigates the catalytic esterification of oleic acid, a readily available fatty acid, with ethanol for biodiesel production using a novel heterogeneous catalyst, ZrO/AlO.

The toughening coix seed oil (CSO) high internal phase Pickering emulsion (CSO-HIPES) and gel (CSO-HIPESG) comprised of carrageenan (CR)/super-deamidated-gluten (SDG) micro-particles (CR/SDG) were investigated via acid-heat induction. Results showed polysaccharide natural deep eutectic solvent (P-NADES) by citric acid-glucose-carrageenan ((CGCR), molar ratio at 1:1:0.035) was the crucial for the preparation of SDG (deamidation degree, 99.

Chlorogenic acid, a well-known antioxidant, has potential applications in health care, food, and cosmetic sectors. However, its low solubility hinders its application at the industrial scale. The primary goal of the present study was to increase the lipophilic property of chlorogenic acid through esterification using an ultrasonication approach and Novozym® 435 as the catalyst.

Despite the success in COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, direct local delivery of mRNA into the lung by inhalation would greatly reinforce the treatment of pulmonary pathogens and diseases. Herein, we developed lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) from degradable ionizable glycerolipids for potent pulmonary mRNA delivery via nebulization.
