Despite decades of advancements in diagnostic MRI, 30-50% of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) patients remain categorized as "non-lesional" (i.e., MRI negative or MRI-) based on visual assessment by human experts.

Food-hoarding granivores act as both predators and dispersers of plant seeds, resulting in facultative species interactions along a mutualism-antagonism continuum. The position along this continuum is determined by the positive and negative interactions that vary with the ratio between seed availability and animal abundance, particularly for mast-seeding species with interannual variation and spatial synchrony of seed production. Empirical data on the entire fate of seeds up to germination and the influence of rodents on seed survival is rare, resulting in a lack of consensus on their position along the mutualism-antagonism continuum.

Introduction: Cognitive impairment and dementia are part of a continuum that progressively leads to functional impairment and dependency. Dementia is a paradigmatic example of chronic and complex psychogeriatric diseases, requiring a comprehensive assessment. The authors underline the importance of implementing a formal assessment of needs (whether met or unmet) as an essential element of comprehensive assessment.

Hypothesis: Nanoscale characterisation of the self-associated species formed by amphiphilic pharmaceuticals in aqueous solution carries relevance across their entire journey from development through to manufacture - relevant, therefore, not only as regards formulation of the drug products as medicines, but also potentially relevant to their bioavailability, activity, and clinical side effects. Such knowledge and understanding, however, can only be fully secured by applying a range of experimental and theoretical methodologies.
Experiments: Herein, we apply a synergistic combination of solubility, surface tension, SANS, NMR and UV spectroscopic studies, together with MD simulation and QM calculations, to investigate the meso-structures of propranolol hydrochloride aggregates in bulk aqueous solutions, at concentrations spanning 2.

Objective: Idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE) in adults comprise juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME), juvenile absence epilepsy (JAE), and epilepsy with generalized tonic-clonic seizures alone (EGTCS), which are defined by their seizure types but also cover a broad endophenotype of symptoms. Controversy exists on whether adult IGE is a group of distinct diseases or a clinical spectrum of one disease. Here, we used a deeply phenotyped cohort to test the hypothesis that IGE comprises three distinct clinical entities.
