Kenneth W. Spence was among the most influential learning theorists of the 20th century. He was not only a pioneer in the genesis of computational models but an articulate systematist and scholar regarding the place of theory in psychology. The following observations and remembrances were offered at the University of Iowa as part of a tribute to his contributions on the 100th anniversary of his birth.

Two things Tunde loved were dynamics and probability. The work described herein combined them both, which explains why Tunde invariably asked me each time we talked how this work was proceeding. However, as I've come to appreciate as reminiscent of a surprisingly large amount of work in almost any researcher's career, I did not complete a peer-reviewed article on the matter while he could see it.

Objectives: Excavations at Sidon (Lebanon) have revealed dual identities during the Middle Bronze Age (ca. 2000-1600 BCE): a maritime port and center for local distribution, as well as a settlement with a heavy subsistence dependence on the extensive inland hinterlands. Background: A disaster is a traumatic event that many people may have witnessed and had various implications on their mental and physical wellbeing. Psychologists have confirmed the fact that the traumatic event contributes not just to stress but also to posttraumatic growth (PTG), which evolves through the attempt to reunify after trauma or accident has disrupted fundamental life expectations.
