The PyrR transcriptional regulator is widely distributed in bacteria. This RNA-binding protein is involved in the control of genes involved in pyrimidine biosynthesis, in which uridyl and guanyl nucleotides function as effectors. Here, the crystallization and preliminary X-ray diffraction analysis of two crystal forms of Bacillus halodurans PyrR are reported. One of the forms belongs to the monoclinic space group P2(1) with unit-cell parameters a = 59.7, b = 87.4, c = 72.1 A, beta = 104.4 degrees , while the other form belongs to the orthorhombic space group P22(1)2(1) with unit-cell parameters a = 72.7, b = 95.9, c = 177.1 A. Preliminary X-ray diffraction data analysis and molecular-replacement solution revealed the presence of four and six monomers per asymmetric unit; a crystallographic tetramer is formed in both forms.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the occurrence of motion artifacts and image quality of brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) T1-weighted imaging applying 3D motion correction via the Scout Accelerated Motion Estimation and Reduction (SAMER) framework compared with conventional T1-weighted imaging at 1.5 T.
Materials And Methods: A preliminary study involving 14 healthy volunteers assessed the impact of the SAMER framework on induced motion during 3 T MRI scans.

Background: Lymphatic metastasis commonly occurs in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma. The clinical and imaging characteristics of recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) invasion by extranodal extension (ENE) of metastatic lymph nodes remain understudied. This study aimed to evaluate these characteristics in patients with thyroid carcinoma.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder ranging from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to AD dementia. Abnormal cerebral perfusion alterations, influenced by amyloid-beta (Aβ) accumulations, have been implicated in cognitive decline along this spectrum.
Objective: This study investigates the relationship between cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) Aβ1-42 levels and regional cerebral blood flow (CBF) changes across the AD continuum using the Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) technique.

The purpose of this study was to determine any changes in the rectus abdominis and diaphragm muscles, which are core muscles, in children and adolescents with nocturnal enuresis (NE) using the shear wave elastography (SWE). In this case-control study, the rectus abdominis and diaphragm muscles of 40 children and adolescents with NE and 40 healthy controls were evaluated. The rectus abdominis muscle was examined at the right supra- and subumbilical levels, and the diaphragm at the right 9th-10th intercostal space.

Integrating time-of-flight (ToF) measurements in radiography and computed tomography (CT) enables an approach for scatter rejection in imaging systems that eliminates the need for anti-scatter grids, potentially increasing system sensitivity and image quality. However, present hardware dedicated to the time-correlated measurement of X-rays is limited to a small scale and low density. A switch to highly integrated electronics and detectors is needed to progress towards a medium-scale system capable of acquiring images, while offering a timing resolution below 300 ps FWHM to achieve scatter rejection comparable to current grids.
