The veterinary clinic plays a critical role in the prevention and treatment of behavior problems. If behavior problems do begin to emerge, the veterinary clinic can help determine who can advise and guide the owners most practically to improve or resolve the problem. This help might involve the veterinarian, a behavioral technician, a trained staff member, an appropriate trainer, or some combination of these persons. This article reviews how these professional roles might be integrated, depending on the complexity of the problem.

Children experience a variety of emotions in achievement settings. Yet, mathematics-related emotions other than anxiety are understudied, especially for young children entering primary school. The current study reports the prevalence and intensity of six basic, discrete achievement emotions (joy/happiness, sadness, surprise, anger, fear, and disgust) expressed on the faces of 15 kindergarten-aged children as they solved increasingly complex arithmetic story problems in a 3-month teaching experiment.

Polyamide (PA) membranes are widely utilized in desalination and water treatment applications, yet the mechanisms underlying water transport within these amorphous polymer materials remain insufficiently understood. To gain more insight into these problems on a microscopic scale, we employ molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to analyze the relationship between the structural properties and the water permeation behavior of PA membranes.
