Dementia clinical trials often fail to include diverse and historically minoritized groups. We sought to adapt the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias-Palliative Care (ADRD-PC) clinical trial to improve enrollment and address the cultural needs of people with late-stage ADRD who identify as Hispanic or Latino and their family caregivers. Bilingual, bicultural research team members adapted study materials and processes using the Cultural Adaptation Process Model.

Background: Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare, aggressive malignancy with high recurrence rates and poor prognosis. Current prognostic models are inadequate, highlighting the need for innovative diagnostic tools. Pathomics, which utilizes computer algorithms to analyze whole-slide images, offers a promising approach to enhance prognostic models for ACC.

Introduction: Although tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are effective against NSCLC harboring sensitizing gene mutations, acquired resistance is inevitable. Preclinical studies suggest that combining EGFR TKI and monoclonal antibody therapies may have activity in mutated NSCLC that has progressed on TKI therapy alone. Therefore, we prospectively evaluated afatinib plus necitumumab in patients with mutated NSCLC.

Patients with angina but without obstructive epicardial coronary disease still require a specific mechanistic diagnosis to enable targeted treatment. The overarching term "coronary microvascular dysfunction" (CMD) has been applied broadly - but is it correct? We present a series of case examples culminating a systematic exploration of our large clinical database to distinguish among four categories of coronary pathophysiology. First, by far the largest group of "no stenosis angina" patients exhibits subendocardial ischemia during intact flow through diffuse epicardial disease during dipyridamole vasodilator stress.
