Published: June 2008

Purpose: To investigate the effect of nHACP/CF on coherence and proliferation of osteoblast.

Methods: The rat osteoblasts were isolated and cultured, then co-cultured with nHACP/CF in vitro. The cells were observed under cytochemical staining for ALP; the cell-material complex was observed under electronic scanning microscope, MTT was used for detection of cell proliferation, and ALP activity was determined at different times.SPSS 11.5 software package was used for one-way ANOVA.

Results: Cytochemical staining for ALP was positive. The best density of seeding cells was 6x10(5)/ml; osteoblast could attach and extend on nHACP/CF,the proliferation and growth were not affected by nHACP/CF.

Conclusion: nHACP/CF is a good vehicle for rat osteoblast to grow on.

Introduction Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) has suboptimal survival rates for adolescents and young adults (AYA) as compared to children. Very limited studies have been conducted on AYA patients in India. This study aimed to identify the cytogenetic and immunophenotype characteristics of B-cell ALL (B-ALL) in AYA patients and determine its correlation with clinicopathological parameters in the Southern India region.
