The present-day diagnosing and treatment of ruptures of the diaphragm is a most difficult part of polytrauma surgery. From 1989 to 2006 in the surgical clinic of the Vladivostok medical university there were 36 patients with ruptures of the diaphragm. An analysis of case histories helped to formulate the main causes of difficulties of the diagnosis of this pathology, all necessary diagnostic measures and rational surgical strategy were established. It allowed to obtain favorable results in 72% of cases.

Pilomatrix carcinoma (PC) is a rare malignant adnexal tumor originating from follicular matrix cells primarily impacting Caucasian males. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of scientific literature on PC through an exploration of 206 cases reported between 1980 and 2024. We discuss the epidemiology, clinical presentation, histopathology, and diagnostic challenges of PC, and explore various treatment methods for this rare malignancy as well as their associated outcomes.

Esophago-jejunal anastomoses fistula could be mortal. Currently there is a wide therapeutic measure ranging from conservative management, endoscopic therapy and surgery. In April 2024, the Adult Immunization Board convened a technical meeting to explore the latest strategies and identify exemplary approaches regarding the implementation of vaccines for adults into Europe's National Immunization Programs (NIPs). The meeting was built around three pillars: decision making for introducing a new vaccine, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The increasing number of new vaccines available in a context of competing health priorities warrants transparent and evidence-based decision-making processes for vaccine introduction.
