Published: October 2008

The study aimed at understanding the participation of nurses in the attention of sexual and reproductive health of the adolescents, how they are attended in health units and the perspective of the completeness in the process. The approach is qualitative and a non-structured interview as used for data collection. Results point to individual attendance according to the demand, and occasional, as in schools. Integrality is the reason of major concern the nurses, due to the limitations of time, qualification and resources. We recommend new studies with epidemiological base toward this group and about the participation of the nurses and population in the Local Health Councils to discuss the problems and provide a better resolution.
