The increasing trend of dog ownership is often linked to its perceived benefits for human physical and mental well-being. However, the psychological and practical demands of caring for a dog can significantly impact the owner's quality of life and the long-term success of the dog-owner relationship. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of both the advantages and disadvantages of dog ownership, as perceived by a convenience sample of Hungarian dog owners (N = 246), who were assumed to be generally satisfied with their dogs.

CRISPR/Cas9 technology has rapidly advanced as a pivotal tool in cancer research, particularly in the precision targeting required for both detecting and treating malignancies. Its high specificity and low off-target effects make it exceptionally effective in applications involving Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related diseases, most notably cervical cancer. This approach offers a refined methodology for the rapid detection of viral infections and provides a robust platform for the safe and effective treatment of diseases associated with viral infections through gene therapy.

Using the knowledge from decades of research into RNA-based therapies, the COVID-19 pandemic response saw the rapid design, testing and production of the first ever mRNA vaccines approved for human use in the clinic. This breakthrough has been a significant milestone for RNA therapeutics and vaccines, driving an exponential growth of research into the field. The development of novel RNA therapeutics targeting high-threat pathogens, that pose a substantial risk to global health, could transform the future of health delivery.

Pectin is an acidic heteropolysaccharide, a natural high molecular weight compound primarily found in higher plants. It consists of four major structural domains: homogalacturonan (HG), rhamnogalacturonan II (RG-II), rhamnogalacturonan I (RG-I), and xylogalacturonan (XGA). Various methods are currently employed for pectin extraction, including acid extraction, microbial fermentation, microwave-assisted extraction, and ion extraction, each with unique advantages and disadvantages.

For almost two decades, dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) has been considered the cornerstone of pharmacological treatment in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). DAPT composition and duration have considerably evolved in the last decade moving from fixed treatment durations to tailored strategies based on the individual ischemic and bleeding risks. The increasing awareness of the prognostic relevance of bleeding events after PCI and the need for tailoring DAPT according to the individual bleeding and ischemic risks paved the way to newer DAPT modulation strategies by early aspirin withdrawal which have been shown to decrease bleeding without affecting therapeutic efficacy.
