Background: Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is an essential tool for students across the medical education continuum. Incorporation of EBM skills into core competencies by national educational organizations denotes their vital role.
Aim: The main purpose is to describe the transformation of an EBM curriculum in an Internal Medicine clerkship and the educational principles that influenced changes over ten years.
Methods: The EBM curriculum over ten years was reviewed. This retrospective review was divided into four phases, based on the educational interventions used. Associated outcomes of the curriculum, student skills, and satisfaction with the course and faculty involvement were assessed.
Results: A majority of the 493 students felt they received adequate and appropriate exposure to EBM. The curriculum evolved from a teacher-centered approach using computer-based case scenarios to a learner-centered, and patient centric approach. Student skills in EBM improved, as was evidenced by the pre- and post-tests and the evaluations of critically appraised topic assignments.
Conclusions: EBM is an essential tool to develop life-long learners. A learner-centered, patient centric approach is well received by students. Long-term studies are needed to assess the impact of these teaching interventions on patient outcomes.

Background: The postpartum period is a vital time for women, infants, spouses, parents, caregivers and families. Considering the importance of postpartum care and the necessity of using comprehensive and up-to-date clinical guidelines in Iran, this study was designed to implement a indigenized clinical guideline in Iran on maternal outcomes, including maternal functioning, postpartum depression and postpartum specific anxiety (primary outcomes) as well as infant care, maternal health problems, experiencing violence, feeding method and contraception use (secondary outcomes).
Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted with 272 postpartum women in Taleghani and Alzahra hospitals in Tabriz in 2023.

Objectives: To investigate the meta-epidemiology and reporting characteristics of mapping reviews.
Study Design And Setting: We conducted a scoping review of a sample of recent mapping reviews (2022-2023) by searching nine electronic databases and eleven institutional websites up to January 2024. A 28-item reporting checklist, developed by our team and based on existing guidance and methodological studies of mapping reviews, was employed to assess reporting characteristics.

The main objective of this qualitative analysis is to increase the quality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) research education. Subject matter experts and stakeholders were sent a list of possible topics to include in a research course and were asked to comment on it, add or subtract topics, and suggest appropriate research papers to use, lessons learned in their topic areas and possible stand-alone topics for inclusion in other courses. Their feedback was used to revise the topic list, create a list of foundational research papers to include in a research course and devise a list of stand-alone topics that could be included in the general TCM research curriculum.
