During the last 10-15 years, there has been a tremendous increase in our clinical "tools" (ie, materials, instruments, and medications) and knowledge from the trauma and tissue engineering fields that can be applied to regeneration of a functional pulp-dentin complex. In addition, recent case reports indicate that biologically based endodontic therapies can result in continued root development, increased dentinal wall thickness, and apical closure when treating cases of necrotic immature permanent teeth. The purpose of this review was to summarize these findings and illustrate a path forward for the development and evaluation of regenerative endodontic therapies.

As photobiomodulation is growing in the dental field the aim of this prospective, two-arm clinical trial was to assess the radiographic changes for chronic periapical bone lesions related to mandibular molars after primary root canal therapy with or without applying Diode laser on soft tissue. The samples were randomly divided into a Laser group and a mock laser (ML) group. Preoperative CBCT images were compared 12 months later with postoperative CBCT to gauge the changes in the volume of the bony lesion by two observers.

Background: Lip behaviors can lead to maxillofacial developmental disorders such as anterior open bite, posterior crossbite, increased overjet, and a higher risk of developing a Class II malocclusion. However, lip-sucking, a behavior often underreported and overlooked, may adversely affect the periodontal health of permanent teeth in adolescents under extreme conditions if not promptly identified and managed.
Case Presentation: We report a unique case of an 11-year-old boy with a severe periodontal-endodontic lesion on tooth 32, caused by prolonged, high-frequency, and high-intensity lip sucking.
