Background: With roughly 45,000 adult patients each year, distal radius fractures are one of the most common fractures in the emergency department. Approximately 60% of all these fractures are displaced and require surgery. The current guidelines advise to perform closed reduction of these fractures awaiting surgery, as it may lead to post-reduction pain relief and release tension of the surrounding neurovascular structures.

High-power-density electronic devices under vibrations call for soft and damping thermal interface materials (TIMs) for efficient heat dissipation. However, integrating low hardness, high damping, and superior heat transfer capability into one TIM is highly challenging. Herein, soft, damping, and thermally conductive TIMs are designed and prepared by constructing a honeycomb-board-mimetic boron nitride nanosheet (BNNS) network in a dynamic polyimine via one-step horizontal centrifugal casting.

Mainstream health economic theory implies that an expected gain in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) produces the same value for consumers, regardless of baseline health. Several strands of recent research call this implication into question. Generalized Risk-Adjusted Cost-Effectiveness (GRACE) demonstrates theoretically that baseline health status influences value, so long as consumers are not risk-neutral over health.

With drug facilitated sexual assault (DFSA) being alleged in 15-20 % of sexual assault cases, drink spiking is a serious concern for several people, casting doubts over the expected safety at events in public spaces. On-site drug testing material is often touted as a solution, allowing attendees to test their drinks for the presence of certain so-called "date-rape drugs". In this manuscript, we aim to evaluate the efficiency of such a coaster device, manufactured by Drink Safe Technologies (Tallahassee, Florida, United States) and sold by Alco Prevention Canada (Laval, Québec, Canada), in detecting drink spiking by GHB and ketamine.
