The molecular structures of 83 diverse organic compounds are correlated by a quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) to their minimum inhibitor concentrations (MIC expressed as log(1/MIC)), involving 6 descriptors with R(2)=0.788, F=47.140, s(2)=0.130. A novel QSAR development technique is utilized combining advantages of the two frequently applied methods. The topological, electronic, geometrical, and hybrid type descriptors for the compounds were calculated by CODESSA PRO software.

An innovative colorimetric sensing strategy was developed for the detection of glucose by the integration of glucose aptamer, glucose oxidase (GOx), and horseradish peroxidase (HRP), termed aptamer proximal enzyme cascade reactions (APECR). In the presence of glucose, aptamer binding enables GOx to catalyze glucose oxidation into HO efficiently. Subsequently, the adjacent HRP catalyzes the oxidation of the peroxidase substrate, 2,2'-biazobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), utilizing the generated HO, resulting in a distinct color change.

This study investigated tempol action on genes and miRNAs related to NFκB pathway in androgen dependent or independent cell lines and in TRAMP model in the early and late-stages of cancer progression. A bioinformatic search was conducted to select the miRNAs to be measured based on the genes of interest from NFκB pathway. Purpose: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an aggressive malignancy with poor response to chemotherapy. High-frequency microsatellite instability (MSI-H) is a rare biological phenomenon in conventional PDAC, being more frequently described in tumors with medullary or mucinous features.
Methods And Results: In this manuscript, we report the case of a patient with an MSI-H pancreatic carcinoma with medullary features (medullary carcinoma of the pancreas-MCP) that achieved a complete pathological response after neoadjuvant modified FOLFIRINOX.
