Objective: A Leonis Mova (LM; SB Kawasumi, Kanagawa, Japan), one of the steerable microcatheters, has a remote-controlled flexible catheter tip manipulated with a dial in the hand grip, which enables operators to overcome complicated branching in endovascular surgeries. We report a case of a pituitary tumor in which the LM worked effectively as a distal access catheter (DAC) in tumor embolization.
Case Presentation: A female patient in her 70s complained of bitemporal hemianopsia, and an MRI revealed a pituitary tumor that appeared hypervascular.

Case Summary: A 7-year-old castrated male domestic shorthair cat was presented for surgical intervention for obstructive pancreatolithiasis. The patient had a history of chronic weight loss, vomiting and lethargy. Elevation of feline pancreas-specific lipase and a marked decrease in cobalamin were documented on blood biochemistry.

Introduction: Despite randomized controlled trials (RCTs) largely supporting volar locking plates (VLPs) for the management of distal radius fractures (DRFs), surgeons often opt for non-invasive interventions such as casting. This study used the fragility index (FI), reverse fragility index (rFI), and fragility quotient (FQ) to assess the statistical robustness of RCTs assessing the efficacy of VLP in DRF management.
Methods: PubMed, Embase, and MEDLINE were queried for RCTs evaluating VLP versus casting for DRFs published from January 1st, 2000-June 30, 2024.

Background: Central venous catheter (CVC)-related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) are common in children receiving hemodialysis and cause significant morbidity and healthcare costs. Unlike standard locking solutions, 4% tetrasodium EDTA (KiteLock™) has antimicrobial and antibiofilm properties. Central venous catheter-related thrombosis is a frequent non-infectious complication, typically associated with catheter dysfunction and hemodialysis inadequacy. Central venous catheters (CVCs) are categorized into non-tunnelled and tunnelled types, wherein the choice depends on patient's clinical conditions and the diagnostic and therapeutic workup. Tunnelled CVCs (tCVCs) are sought whenever an arteriovenous fistula is unfeasible or as primary access in patients with poor prognosis.
