Depression and low medication taking self-efficacy are among the most important mechanisms contributing to poor adherence to treatment and care for persons with HIV (PWH). While the overall negative relationship between depression and medication taking self-efficacy has been well established, little is known on the precise pathways linking depression and medication taking self-efficacy. Thus, it is critical to identify a specific item of depression and medication taking self-efficacy that derives the overall negative relationship.

Recently, renewable bio-based materials have received more and more attention due to environmental issues such as global warming and ecosystem destruction. In the present work, a series of isosorbide-based bioelastomers poly(isosorbide carbonate-co-butanediol aliphatic esters)s (PICBAs) are synthesized by a facile and economical two-step melt polycondensation. Due to the slightly self-crosslinking reaction of isosorbide, PICBAs exhibit excellent tensile strength and self-healing ability, the mechanical properties of PICBAs can recover over 95% after 48 h under room temperature.

Introduction: Depressed skull fractures occur when a portion of the skull is displaced inward towards the brain, leading to complications such as intracranial hematoma, brain contusion, and intracranial infection. Managing these fractures necessitates a multidisciplinary approach, with postoperative management and rehabilitation playing crucial roles in optimizing patient outcomes. This study aimed to assess the predictive factors and outcomes of patients who underwent surgical treatment for depressed skull fractures.

The use of tools played a central role in human culture and evolution. Early studies with apes demonstrated the tool use; however, currently the works have focused on Platyrrhine, particularly capuchin monkeys. Blonde capuchin monkeys, Sapajus flavius, have been observed using sticks to fish for termites in the Atlantic Forest, where this species has been extensively studied.
