Although there have been sporadic reports that the crystallinity of cellulose has a significant impact on photoluminescence (PL) properties, the degree and pattern of this effect have not been thoroughly explored and elucidated. Here, we assume that crystallinity is positively correlated with PL emission. Then, lyocell fiber (CLY), a common man-made cellulose fiber, is selected to solve the above problems by exploring the PL emission properties of different crystallinity systems.

Objective: As proton arc therapy (PAT) approaches clinical implementation, optimizing treatment plans for this innovative delivery modality remains challenging, especially in addressing arc delivery time. Existing algorithms for minimizing delivery time are either optimal but computationally demanding or fast but at the expense of sacrificing many degrees of freedom. In this study, we introduce a flexible method for pre-selecting energy layers (EL) in PAT treatment planning before the actual robust spot weight optimization.

Background: Perception-related errors comprise most diagnostic mistakes in radiology. To mitigate this problem, radiologists use personalized and high-dimensional visual search strategies, otherwise known as search patterns. Qualitative descriptions of these search patterns, which involve the physician verbalizing or annotating the order he or she analyzes the image, can be unreliable due to discrepancies in what is reported versus the actual visual patterns.

As a non-contact method, the transient electromagnetic (TEM) method has the characteristics of high efficiency, small impact of device, no limitation of site range, and high resolution, and is a hot topic in current research. However, the research on the refined data processing method of TEM is lag, which seriously restricts the application in superficial engineering investigation and is a key problem that needs to be solved urgently. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and firefly algorithm (FA) were successful swarm intelligence algorithms inspired by nature.
