Phase I clinical trials had been completed in several solid tumor types and phase II clinical trials had been completed in patients with small-cell lung cancer and NSCLC. A phase II clinical trial in patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and phase I/II and phase II clinical trials in patients with acute leukemias were ongoing at the time of publication.

Here, we report the 3-year safety and efficacy of fostamatinib in that study. Data from 33 patients who received at least one dose of fostamatinib were analyzed.

More recently the field has experienced a remarkable renascence with the regulatory approval of paired imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy agents in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors and metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer that are now employed in routine clinical practice. The momentum is strong for identification and testing of new theranostic agents for use in various cancers and finding new clinical incications of the available agents.
