The results of selective transcervical tubal recanalisation by means of a catheter in 20 patients with tubal occlusions are reported and discussed. The advantages of tubal recanalisation under DSA are stressed. In 18 (90%) of the 20 patients treated, it was possible to recanalize at least one tube. Nine of these 18 women (50%) became pregnant during the period of observation, averaging 12 months. Selective transcervical recanalisation of obstructive tubes is a rapid, reliable, cheap and hardly invasive treatment of sterility, when compared with laparoscopy or laparotomy. In the majority of patients it makes surgery unnecessary.

Objectives: This study aims to observe and report on the use of saline infusion sonography (SIS) to find out intrauterine and tubal factors in infertile/subfertile women, focusing on its diagnostic use, clinical advantages, and practical implications.
Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted involving 86 women presenting with subfertility and/or recurrent pregnancy loss in a tertiary care hospital. These participants were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria relevant to the study objectives.

(Cab) causes spontaneous abortion and neonatal mortality in infected ruminants and pregnant women. Most Cab infections are asymptomatic, although they can be treated with antibiotics, signifying that control of these infections may require alternative strategies, including the use of effective vaccines. However, the limitations imposed by live attenuated and inactivated vaccines further suggest that employment of subunit vaccines may need to be considered.

Introduction: The female reproductive tract harbours unique microbial communities (known as microbiota) which have been associated with reproductive functions in health and disease. While endometrial microbiome studies have shown that the uterus possesses higher bacterial diversity and richness compared to the vagina, the knowledge regarding the composition of the Fallopian tubes (FT) is lacking, especially in fertile women without any underlying conditions.
Methods: To address this gap, our study included 19 patients who underwent abdominal hysterectomy for benign uterine pathology, and 5 women who underwent tubal ligation as a permanent contraceptive method at Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca (HCUVA).

Medical technology that blocks the fallopian tubes nonsurgically could increase access to permanent contraception and address current unmet needs in family planning. To achieve total occlusion of the fallopian tube via scar tissue formation, acute trauma to the tubal epithelium must first occur followed by a sustained and ultimately fibrotic inflammatory response. Here, we developed drug-eluting fiber-based microparticles that provide tunable dose and release of potent sclerosing agents.
