We describe the features of a duplicated middle cerebral artery identified by computed tomographic angiography that originates from a previously undefined origin, ie, from the petrous portion of the internal carotid artery. Recognition of this anomaly is important in patients with a possible aneurysm, which was not present in our patient.

Oesophageal duplication cysts are a subtype of foregut cysts, associated with the presence of ectopic gastric mucosa. Gastric acid secreted by this mucosa can lead to complications. We report one such unusual case of complication leading to the formation of broncho-oesophageal fistula in a duplication cyst.

Background: myotilinopathy is a very rare inherited muscle disease that belongs to the group of myofibrillar myopathies. These diseases share a common alteration of the sarcomere organization at the level of the Z disk resulting in pathological protein aggregation, autophagic abnormalities, and ultimately muscle degeneration. Most reported cases are due to dominant missense mutations in the MYOT gene, two of which are largely recurrent.
