By a simple condensation reaction, the receptor with anthraquinone moiety was synthesized and its sensing properties were explored in the anion sensing studies via colorimetric, UV-vis studies, fluorescence studies, and DFT calculations. The synthesized receptor senses both acetate and hypochlorite ions in DMSO medium. By the addition of all anions into the receptor the colour change was observed from pink to light purple colour for acetate ion and pink to light blue for hypochlorite ion.

Background And Objective: Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a vascular disease that may affect the retina. This study aimed to evaluate differences in average velocity (AV, mm/s), blood flow (BF, μL/min) and vessel diameter (VD, μm) from the temporal retinal arcades in SCD compared to healthy eyes using Doppler optical coherence tomography (DOCT).

Patients And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted between 2021 and 2023.

Tractional retinoschisis (TRS) secondary to proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) may be differentiated from tractional retinal detachment (TRD) by its characteristically nonprogressive course. The purpose of the current study was to describe the use of swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA) in the diagnosis and monitoring of TRS secondary to PDR. Retrospective, consecutive case series of patients with TRS secondary to PDR are featured.

Background And Objective: To assess the efficacy of intravitreal aflibercept 8 mg in treating neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) in patients previously treated with faricimab.

Patients And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on nAMD patients with suboptimal response to faricimab injections who were switched to intravitreal aflibercept 8 mg. Visual acuity (VA) and optical coherence tomography features were evaluated.

Ischemic Area-Targeting and Self-Monitoring Nanoprobes Ameliorate Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury by Scavenging ROS and Counteracting Cardiac Inflammation.

Department of Cardiology, Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, Guangzhou, 510080, China.

Precise and effective management of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MIRI) is still a formidable challenge in clinical practice. Additionally, real-time monitoring of drug aggregation in the MIRI region remains an open question. Herein, a drug delivery system, hesperadin and ICG assembled in PLGA-Se-Se-PEG-IMTP (HI@PSeP-IMTP), is designed to deliver hesperadin and ICG to the MIRI region for in vivo optical imaging tracking and to ameliorate MIRI.
