Background: The ionic mechanism underlying Brugada syndrome (BrS) arises from an imbalance in transient outward current flow between the epicardium and endocardium. Previous studies report that artemisinin, originally derived from a Chinese herb for antimalarial use, inhibits the Ito current in canines. In a prior study, we showed the antiarrhythmic effects of artemisinin in BrS wedge preparation models.

Background: In patients with Brugada syndrome, myocardial fibrosis can be identified through epicardial biopsy or cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging with late gadolinium enhancement (LGE). However, the myocardial alterations in patients with early repolarization syndrome (ERS) remain poorly elucidated.
Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the presence of myocardial fibrosis in patients with ERS by LGE in CMR.

Objective: The study sought to test the hypothesis that the magnitudes of skin sympathetic nerve activity (SKNA) correlate negatively with the ST-segment height (ST height) in ambulatory participants.
