The incidence and factors associated with inappropriate use of antifungal medications were studied in a Thai tertiary care center. The incidence of inappropriate antifungal use was 74% (in 42 of 57 patients). Isolation of Candida species from urine (P = .004) was a risk factor, whereas receipt of an infectious diseases consultation (P = .004) was protective.

Objective: The antifungal audit aimed to evaluate antifungal usage in a tertiary care center. It focused on patient profiles, the appropriateness of antifungal use, associated adverse drug reactions, reasons for suboptimal usage, and the economic burden caused by prolonged non-optimal antifungal use.
Methodology: Conducted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India from January 2019 to December 2020, the study evaluated systemic antifungal use in 100 hospitalized adults with invasive fungal infections.

Factor XIa (FXIa) has emerged as a novel anticoagulant target with a reduced risk of bleeding. However, due to the nearly identical residues it shares with its closest homologue, plasma kallikrein (PKa), only a few selective FXIa inhibitors have been reported. Background And Objective: We aimed to evaluate clinical characteristics and therapeutic efficacy of pulmonary cryptococcosis (PC) in patients with different immune status in a large multicenter population to support appropriate clinical management of this public health threat.
Methods: We retrospectively investigated the medical records of 510 patients with PC from January 2014 to June 2023 in 10 representative regional tertiary teaching hospitals in Hubei province of China, and clinical data of these patients were then stratified by different immune statuses.
Results: Immunocompetent (IC) patients accounted for 68.
