An effect of 20 ultrafiltrates from patients with chronic renal failure on ADP-, epinephrine-, and arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation. Ultrafiltrates were collected at the beginning and the end of dialysis. It was found that ultrafiltrates collected at the beginning of dialysis decrease ADP-induced platelet aggregation whereas ultrafiltrates collected at the and of dialysis exert reverse effect. No effect on epinephrine- and arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation was seen. Removal of substances inhibiting platelet aggregation produced by ADP hemodialysis may reveal increased platelet aggregation in patients with uremia.

: Cangrelor provides rapid platelet inhibition, making it a potential option for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survivors undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). However, clinical data on its use after OHCA are limited. This study investigates in-hospital outcomes of cangrelor use in this population.

Introduction: Numerous epidemiological studies have demonstrated that consuming foods rich in polyphenols and flavonoids can have beneficial effects on various diseases, including arterial hypertension (HTN). Recent research from our laboratory has shown that certain flavonoids exhibit antihypertensive properties in several animal models of HTN. Our objective was to evaluate the effect of L.

COVID-19 and post-COVID (long COVID) are associated with thromboembolic complications; however, it is still not clear whether platelets play a leading role in this phenomenon. The platelet hyperreactivity could result from the direct interaction between platelets and viral elements or the response to inflammatory and prothrombotic factors released from blood and vessel cells following infection. The existing literature does not provide clear-cut answers, as the results determining platelet status vary according to methodology.

The search for new hemostatic materials remains a priority for researchers, as the problem of uncontrolled hemorrhage during surgical interventions or traumatic injuries represents a significant challenge. The objective of the study was to identify novel polysaccharide structures with enhanced hemostatic properties based on chitosan. The number of chitosan derivatives with two substituents was synthesized and characterized by H NMR, FTIR.
