Several technical modifications related to the fabrication and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) treatments of the scanning tunneling microscope (STM) tips have been implemented to improve a reliability of the tip preparation for high-resolution STM. Widely used electrochemical etching drop-off technique has been further refined to enable a reproducible fabrication of the tips with a radius

Unlabelled: Engineered three-dimensional (3D) tissue culture platforms are useful for reproducing and elucidating complex in vivo biological phenomena. Spheroids, 3D aggregates of living cells, are produced based on physicochemical or microfabrication technologies and are commonly used even in cancer pathology research. However, conventional methods have difficulties in constructing 3D structures depending on the cell types, and require specialized techniques/lab know-how to reproducibly control the spheroid size and shape.

The presence of pesticide residues in textiles poses a risk to human health. We established a robust and high-throughput liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the determination of 115 pesticide residues in textiles. In this study, we evaluated high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry conditions and sample extraction methods, including separation performance of different columns, mass conditions, extraction solvent, and extraction time.

Highly sensitive and portable pesticide residues detection are indispensable for safeguarding food safety and environmental health. Herein, we introduce a one-step vacuum filtration strategy for the scalable production of cobalt-based conjugated coordination polymers (CoCCPs) electrode arrays, utilizing carboxylated single-walled carbon nanotubes (c-SWNTs) as bonding bridges (CoCCPs@c-SWNTs). Due to their abundant active sites and high conductivity, the CoCCPs@c-SWNTs arrays exhibit superior electrochemical performance (e.

Background: Sensitive and accurate detection of important cancer markers MicroRNAs (miRNAs) is critical to prevent and treat disease. Among many detection techniques, surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) has attracted much attention due to its advantages such as narrow spectral peak, low interference and non-destructive detection. Interestingly, non-noble metal SERS substrates show good prospects due to their outstanding spectral reproducibility and biocompatibility.

Reproducible large-area fabrication is one of the remaining challenges for the commercialization of perovskite photovoltaics. Imaging methods augmented with deep learning (DL) enable in-line detection of spatial or temporal inconsistencies and predict the impact of observed changes on device performance. In this work, we showcase three use cases of how DL augments complex experimental data analysis of the large-area perovskite thin film formation, even on moderate-sized datasets.
