[Organization of health services in the area of Ho Chi Minh Ville. Prospects of training and improving health workers].

The old city of Saïgon-Cholon, the region of Ho Chi Minh Ville and its districts has a population of more than 25 millions persons. After a description of the existing organisation and an evaluation of the medical and surgical activities it is possible to appreciate the magnitude of the needs. The medical University (CUF) has been created in 1989. It's first mission is to match the requirements of the very large population. Its main target is "health for everyone in year 2000". However, in order to be successful, the University and the health network already existing, and which covers a very wide region do need to import economic and scientifical projects and expertise. France must be leading foreign countries.
