Robot-assisted gait training (RAGT) is a promising technique for improving the gait ability of elderly adults and patients with gait disorders by enabling high-intensive and task-specific training. Gait functions involve multiple brain regions and networks. Therefore, RAGT is expected to affect not just gait performance but also neuroplasticity and cognitive ability.

The endothelial glycocalyx maintains vascular structure and may be subject to shedding during inflammation and also during high-intensive exercise. There are no studies on shedding during ultra-endurance exercise. The "Yukon Arctic Ultra" (YAU) is one of the longest and coldest ultramarathons and its impact on glycocalyx shedding was investigated.

People with aphasia need high-intensive language training to significantly improve their language skills, however practical barriers arise. Socially assistive robots have been proposed as a possibility to provide additional language training. However, it is yet unknown how people with aphasia perceive interacting with a social robot, and which factors influence this interaction.
