The complaints were studied and pain syndrome estimated in 125 patients with nonspecific osteomyelitis of the spine (NOS). Complex conservative treatment was given to 74 of the patients, on 51 patients radical-restorative operations on the spine were fulfilled. The investigation has revealed specific features of pain syndrome in acute and chronic forms of NOS, in operative and conservative treatment.

Objectives: Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is a therapeutic option for those with chronic pain due to persistent spinal pain syndrome (PSPS). Current literature suggests a higher rate of SCS explant in female patients, but evidence regarding sex differences in the rates of receiving SCS therapy is limited. We do not know whether there is a disparity between female and male patients who receive SCS therapy.

Background/objectives: Millions of individuals worldwide continue to experience symptoms following SARS-CoV-2 infection. This study aimed to assess the prevalence and phenotype of multi-system symptoms attributed to Long COVID-including fatigue, pain, cognitive-emotional disturbances, headache, cardiopulmonary issues, and alterations in taste and smell-that have persisted for at least two years after acute infection, which we define as "persistent Long COVID". Additionally, the study aimed to identify clinical features and blood biomarkers associated with persistent Long COVID symptoms.

Breast cancer surgeries offer challenges in perioperative pain management, especially in the presence of inherent risk of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and postmastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS). Inappropriate opioid consumption was speculated as one of the reasons. : Drawing upon over twenty years of clinical experience in endoscopic and endosonographic procedures, along with comprehensive literature research, we present an overview on EUS-guided pancreatography and pancreatic duct drainage (EUS-PD) as an alternative approach, encompassing indications, procedural methods, and outcomes, including complications and the success rate. (corner points): EUS-PD is indicated for cases, for which conventional methods are ineffective due to altered abdominal anatomy of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract, such as congenital or postoperative conditions that prevent access to the papilla or pancreatoenteric anastomosis.
