The relative configuration of acyclic alpha-alkyl-beta-hydroxy carbonyl compounds can be determined by using (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The assignment can be achieved by recording the (1)H NMR spectrum of the syn-anti mixture. The upfield carbinol hydrogen signal belongs to the anti whereas the downfield to the syn stereoisomer.

Monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) are an important class of nutrients and are involved in lipid metabolism. The positions of the C=C bond and cis-trans isomerism have a significant influence on their physiological activity. However, simultaneously detecting these two structural properties has been challenging due to multiple isomers of MUFA.

They output sparse streams of events that quantify these changes spatially and temporally. We have developed a measurement system using two event cameras in a stereo configuration with a specialized projector for 3D measurements of static objects.

Due to the amplification effect of CCD Moiré, even minor relative rotations of the two gratings can significantly affect Moiré imaging and introduce measurable errors. This paper mainly addresses the imaging and measurement challenges of in-plane rotation in the CCD Moiré method.

While its application has been well established in microscopy modalities utilizing a circular pupil, its adaptation to systems with non-circular pupils, such as Bessel-focus two-photon fluorescence microscopy (2PFM) with an annular pupil, remains relatively uncharted. Herein, we present a modal focal AO (MFAO) method for Bessel-focus 2PFM.

Background: Health authorities worldwide have invested in digital technologies to establish robust information exchange systems for improving the safety and efficiency of medication management. Nevertheless, inaccurate medication lists and information gaps are common, particularly during care transitions, leading to avoidable harm, inefficiencies, and increased costs. Besides fragmented health care processes, the inconsistent incorporation of patient-driven changes contributes to these problems.
