Objective: To assess the value of transrectal ultrasonography (TRUS) in the diagnosis of midline prostatic cysts.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the TRUS manifestations of 87 cases of midline prostatic cysts.
Results: Of the total number, 33 cases were diagnosed as Müllerian duct cysts, 21 cases ejaculatory duct cysts and the other 33 cases undifferentiated midline prostatic cysts; 19 cases had dilated seminal vesicles, 19 seminal vesicle agenesis, 9 seminal vesiculitis and 5 dilation of the ejaculatory duct.
Conclusion: TRUS, convenient, sensitive, safe and non-invasive, is a desirable method for the diagnosis of midline prostatic cysts.

Objectives: To evaluate the surgical and patient-reported outcomes of YV-plasty in patients with refractory bladder neck stenosis (BNS) following transurethral prostate surgery.
Methods: This retrospective study reviewed five patients who underwent YV-plasty for BNS between January 2021 and October 2023. The surgical procedure involved a midline lower abdominal incision to expose the bladder neck.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare a cohort of dogs with serious or life-threatening complications following cryptorchid castration to dogs without complications to identify potential contributing factors to the development of these complications.
Methods: Dogs that had a cryptorchid castration between 2018 and 2022 in 2 hospital networks were retrospectively reviewed in a case-control manner for reported complications. Inclusion criteria for cases and controls consisted of dogs with documented surgical procedures to address a retained testicle within the abdomen and an in-person follow-up visit at least 2 weeks postoperatively.

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the leading cause death from cancer in men worldwide. Approximately 30% of castrate-resistant PCa's become refractory to therapy due to neuroendocrine differentiation (NED) that is present in <1% of androgen-sensitive tumors. First-in-class imipridone ONC201/TIC10 has shown clinical activity against midline gliomas, neuroendocrine tumors and PCa.

Background: Patients undergoing treatment for prostate cancer may develop lymphoedema of the midline region. This has a substantial impact on a patient's quality of life and its diagnosis is often delayed or missed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the characteristics of patients with leg and midline lymphoedema to patients with only leg lymphoedema.

Obstructive lower urinary tract symptoms in young men can occasionally be attributed to rare intra-prostatic cystic lesions. This case reports a 27-year-old man presenting with sudden onset voiding difficulty, diagnosed with a midline prostatic cyst at the anterior bladder neck, a rare location. The cyst was successfully treated with bipolar transurethral endoscopic resection, resulting in the resolution of urinary symptoms without retrograde ejaculation which is a common complication that is a central concern in the literature regarding the choice of surgical modality.
