Primary sarcoma of the pulmonary artery (PSPA) is extremely rare. Many cases are misdiagnosed as pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) because of chronic thromboembolic disease (CTD). Four cases of PSPA with the initial misdiagnosis are reported. The presence of a unique mass in the main pulmonary artery or proximal branches, rapidly progressive dyspnea, and constitutional symptoms should raise the suspicion of PSPA. The pathological diagnosis is usually confirmed during surgery, which is done along with adjuvant chemotherapy, the treatment of choice.

A patient with known pulmonary atresia and intact ventricular septum and ductal stent presented with low cardiac output and arrythmia. Intraoperatively, the patient was found to have an anomalous left coronary artery arising from the pulmonary artery. After reimplantation of the left coronary artery to the aortic root and placement of a central shunt, the patient progressed well and was discharged home.

A 79-year-old woman presented with a systolic murmur and dyspnea on exertion. Transthoracic echocardiography and multidetector-row computed tomography revealed a giant aneurysm in an abnormal vessel known as Vieussens' arterial ring (VAR). A pulmonary artery VAR fistula was also observed.

Background: The expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) valved conduit (VC) has been reported for pulmonary valve replacement (PVR). The purpose of this study was to review long-term outcomes of our trileaflet ePTFE VC.
Methods: This multicenter study was performed with institutional review board approval from each institution.

Background: We have developed a new hybrid warp-knit fabric for induction of in situ tissue regeneration that has shown appropriate antideterioration properties and expandability in preclinical studies. This study was performed to assess the clinical efficacy and safety of this fabric in the early postoperative period after congenital cardiac surgery.
Methods: The fabric comprises biodegradable (complete degradation period, 2-3 years) and nonbiodegradable yarns coated with cross-linked gelatin.

Background: The significance of pulmonary artery (PA) diameter in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who undergo pulmonary resection has not been elucidated.
Methods: Data of 357 patients with NSCLC and COPD who underwent pulmonary resection were retrospectively reviewed. The main PA diameter, determined by preoperative computed tomography, relative to the body surface area (PBR), was used as an index of PA dilatation, and patients were divided into 2 groups using median values.
