Dye Adsorbent from Natural Rubber Latex Foam: Efficiency and Post-Utilization.

Polymers (Basel)

January 2025

Department of Rubber Technology and Polymer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, Pattani 94000, Thailand.

This study examined the feasibility of using natural rubber (NR) latex foam as a dye adsorbent and antibacterial foam. The dyes used in this experiment were Methylene Blue (MB) and Alizarin Yellow (AY). Foams with that optimum density were further evaluated for adsorption isotherm, kinetics, and thermodynamic data.

Purpose: This study was aimed to compare the difference between iRoot SP and AH Plus on root canal sealing ability for teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis and explore whether the dentin tubule pathway plays an important role in the development of endodontic-periodontic lesions(EPL), in order to provide a theoretical basis for selection of proper time for root canal therapy and suitable root canal sealants in patients with EPL.

Methods: Fifty single-root anterior teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis were selected. The roots were completely debrided to remove the calculus, dental plaque and cementum.

Inferior vena cava aneurysms (IVCAs) are rare yet potentially lethal, especially if they are symptomatic or complicated. Among the IVCAs reported in the literature, only a few are associated with congenital vascular anomalies, including congenital IVC obstruction, tetralogy of Fallot, left-sided IVC, duplicated IVC, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome, and Klipper-Trenaunay syndrome. We present the case of an 8-cm symptomatic saccular IVCA in a patient with tetralogy of Fallot, treated successfully with surgical repair.

Corrosion and degradation of magnesium (Mg) alloy result in serious damage and limit its application in new-energy automobile industry. Considerable protective coating is proposed, yet it is hindered by the difficulties in avoiding and visually monitoring coating micro-damage and localized metal corrosion. Herein, a novel anticorrosion coating system with autonomously monitoring multiple levels of damages in coated Mg-alloy system, is proposed.
