Aortopulmonary window is a rare congenital heart defect, often requiring open surgical closure. Distal windows with good margins from the semilunar valves and coronary artery origin are amenable for transcatheter closure. Experience in nonsurgical closure of such defects is limited. We report closure of distal aortopulmonary window in 2 patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension using Amplatzer duct occluder device.

Background: Successful periodontal regeneration depends on primary wound closure and interdental papilla preservation. In this case study, we introduce a novel triangle papilla access approach (T-PAA) performed under a surgical microscope for treating interdental bone defects. In this novel approach, buccal incisions were used to access root surfaces and bone defects, avoiding interdental papilla incisions and preventing papillary collapse and necrosis.

Background: Distal radius physeal injuries can result in growth arrest and progressive deformity in children. Ulnar epiphysiodesis may be used to prevent deformity in the skeletally immature child; however, predicting success may be challenging. The purpose of this study was to (1) develop a method to predict successful ulnar epiphysiodesis, and (2) determine the utility of adding a sliding bone autograft as an adjunct to achieving successful epiphysiodesis.

Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the ability of a periodontal resective procedure (the Proximal Wedge Technique) to improve the long-term health of the mandibular canines by reducing probing depths immediately post-surgery via targeted tissue recontouring and precise debridement. The technique aims to enhance periodontal health and stabilize the supporting structures of strategically important adjacent canine teeth, including alveolar bone, rather than relying solely on mandibular incisor extractions with simple closure.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective records review compiled data from patients with suprabony pockets of 6 mm or greater at the mesial aspect of the mandibular canines treated with the proximal wedge technique (PWT).

Background: The expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) valved conduit (VC) has been reported for pulmonary valve replacement (PVR). The purpose of this study was to review long-term outcomes of our trileaflet ePTFE VC.
Methods: This multicenter study was performed with institutional review board approval from each institution.

A 54-year-old male underwent a low anterior resection in 2015 for rectal adenocarcinoma. He presented to the emergency department with a two-week history of fever, perianal pain, an erythematous, warm, and actively draining mass. Physical examination revealed a perianal abscess in the left posterior gluteal region, with a palpable internal fistulous orifice 3 cm from the anal margin.
