Background: Dementia may not be imminent for most young adults, however, lifestyle choices in early and midlife can play a significant role in dementia risk. Improving knowledge around modifiable factors and encouraging protective behaviours across the lifespan provides one important approach to lowering dementia incidence. This study aimed to test whether a short educational video, developed specifically for young adults, could improve knowledge of dementia risk factors and shift perceptions around when behaviour change may be relevant.

Introduction: Nursing students will come across stressful situations during their internships and will continue to do so in future practice. Because of the impact stress can have on performance, nursing students need to be equipped to work and collaborate in such situations. Careful consideration of the needs and desires of nursing students should be taken in account, in order to create a training environment that fosters students' ability to learn to collaborate under stress.

Half of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) are caused by bacterial infection, but self-management plans (SMPs) generally advocate use of antibiotics and steroids for all events. We report findings from a qualitative study exploring the acceptability of a sputum colour chart and SMP to guide patient use of antibiotics and steroids (commonly termed a 'rescue pack'). Qualitative interviews were conducted with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients from the Colour COPD trial - a randomised controlled trial of usual care (SMP alone) versus usual care plus sputum colour chart to manage AECOPD across England and sampled to promote maximum variation.
