Background: In recent years, health care has undergone a rapid and unprecedented digital transformation. In many fields of specialty care, such as rheumatology, this shift is driven by the growing number of patients and limited resources, leading to increased use of digital health technologies (DHTs) to maintain high-quality clinical care. View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: In response to the need to support health care professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic, an innovative, peer-led discussion group program for medical school faculty, called CIRCLE (Colleague Involved in Reaching Colleagues through Listening and Empathy), was developed at Rutgers Health. This article describes results of a qualitative analysis of the participants' experiences, explores virtual communication platform use during this peer support program, and identifies the program's beneficial elements.
Method: CIRCLE was inaugurated in October 2020 at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School using evidence-informed topics.

Recent global popularity of social media content about dissociative identity disorder (DID) has coincided with increased self-diagnosis among children and young people who have formed large online communities and presented in clinical settings seeking to affirm their self-diagnoses. We situate this phenomenon within a broader trend toward self-diagnosis due to the widespread visibility and accessibility of mental health content on social media. Social media propelled self-diagnosis raises particular questions for the study and treatment of DID due to long-standing debates over whether the condition is traumagenic, sociogenic, or iatrogenic.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) patients and Somatization Symptom Disorder (SSD) patients experience somatization symptoms relative to their corresponding processes. IBS patients may also have a diagnosis of both IBS and SSD. Somatization symptoms cause significant psychological, emotional and social distress.

Patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) capture patients' views of their health status and the use of PROMs as part of standard care of children and young people has the potential to improve communication between patients/carers and clinicians and the quality of care. Electronic systems for the collection of or access to PROMs and integrating PROMs into electronic health records facilitates their implementation in routine care and could help maximise their value. Yet little is known about the technical aspects of implementation including the electronic systems available for collection and capture and how this may influence the value of PROMs in routine care which this scoping review aims to explore.
