The utilization of zinc oxide nanoparticles is thought to augment wound healing because of their antibacterial characteristics and capacity to stimulate cellular regeneration, especially in instances of minor burn injuries. On the other hand, it has been shown that tissue regeneration is aided by low-power laser therapy via photobiomodulation. Zinc oxide nanoparticles and low-power laser therapy are the two therapeutic modalities that will be compared in this study in order to assess how well they promote healing after burn injury and provide important new information on improved wound care techniques.

Understanding the resistive switching (RS) behavior of oxide-based memory devices at nanoscale is crucial for advancement of high-integration density in-memory computing platforms. This study explores a comprehensive growth parameter space to address the RS behavior of pulsed-laser-deposited substoichiometric TiO (TiO) thin films in search of tailored nanoscale memristors with low-power consumption and high stability. Conductive-atomic-force-microscopy-based measurements facilitate deciphering the switching behavior at nanoscale, providing a direct avenue to understand the microstructure-property relationships.

We develop fs laser-fabricated asymmetric couplers and zig-zag arrays consisting of single- and two-mode waveguides with bipartite Kerr nonlinearity in borosilicate (BK7) glass substrates. The fundamental mode ( orbital) is near resonance with the neighboring higher-order orbital, causing efficient light transfer at low power. Due to Kerr nonlinearity, the coupler works as an all-optical switch between and orbitals.

Hemostasis is a critical aspect of holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). While HoLEP offers superior outcomes compared to traditional techniques, effective intraoperative and postoperative bleeding control remains a challenge. This report evaluates the feasibility and safety of PuraBond® (3-D Matrix, Ltd.

The treatment of chronic testicular pain is a complex condition that will be encountered by most practicing clinicians. In this study, the influence of low-level laser irradiation of the red and infrared spectral range for treating chronic testicular pain was evaluated and compared. In this double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized clinical trial study, 60 patients were randomly divided into three groups of 20: (1) low-level laser group with red (650 nm, 50 mW), (2) low-level laser group with infrared (820 nm, 100 mW) and (3) laser placebo group.
