Accurate diagnosis of oral lesions, early indicators of oral cancer, is a complex clinical challenge. Recent advances in deep learning have demonstrated potential in supporting clinical decisions. This paper introduces a deep learning model for classifying oral lesions, focusing on accuracy, interpretability, and reducing dataset bias.

Background And Purpose: In idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) patients, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow is typically evaluated with a cardiac-gated two-dimensional (2D) phase-contrast (PC) MRI through the cerebral aqueduct. This approach is limited by the evaluation of a single location and does not account for respiration effects on flow. In this study, we quantified the cardiac and respiratory contributions to CSF movement at multiple intracranial locations using a real-time 2D PC-MRI and evaluated the diagnostic value of CSF dynamics biomarkers in classifying iNPH patients.

Background: Hyperglycemia is a condition in which blood sugar levels increase excessively due to a variety of factors, one of which is the body's inability to regulate insulin properly. Diabetes closely relates to this condition, which significantly contributes to premature death and disability. Long-term diabetes treatment accompanied by a strict diet provides real results in controlling blood glucose levels but can cause side effects.

Background: This study aims to evaluate the impact of different thresholds and voxel sizes on the accuracy of Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) tooth reconstruction and to assess the accuracy of fused CBCT and intraoral scanning (IOS) tooth models using curvature continuity algorithms under varying thresholds and voxel conditions.

Methods: Thirty-two isolated teeth were digitized using IOS and CBCT at two voxel sizes and five threshold settings. Crown-root fusion was performed using a curvature continuity algorithm.

Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Shenzhen Stomatology Hospital, Affiliated to Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China.

Introduction: This study aimed to develop a deep learning-based method for interpreting magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) anterior disc displacement (ADD) and to formulate an automated diagnostic system for clinical practice.

Methods: The deep learning models were utilized to identify regions of interest (ROI), segment TMJ structures including the articular disc, condyle, glenoid fossa, and articular tubercle, and classify TMJ ADD. The models employed Grad-CAM heatmaps and segmentation annotation diagrams for visual diagnostic predictions and were deployed for clinical application.
