In current study, microstructural, mechanical and corrosion behaviour were investigated with incorporation of dual reinforced AZ91D surface composites. This research was carried out for enhancement of the bio-degradability in biological environment. The surface composites were successfully fabricated by friction stir processing method with a rotation speed of 800 rpm, travel speed of 80 mm/min and 2.

Writing and drawing tilts after right hemisphere stroke are signs of a wrong verticality representation.

Ann Phys Rehabil Med

January 2025

University Grenoble Alpes, UMR CNRS 5105 Neuropsychology and NeuroCognition, CHU Grenoble Alpes, Dept of NeuroRehabilitation South Hospital, Cs 10217-38043 Grenoble cedex 9, France. Electronic address:

Background: Many signs of spatial dysgraphia and drawing errors after right hemispheric stroke (RHS) have been attributed to spatial neglect or impaired sensory feedback. Counterclockwise (contralesional) tilts of graphomotor productions remained to be explained.

Objective: To test whether graphomotor tilts stem from a tilted representation of verticality transposed to the top/bottom axis of the sheet of paper, using data from the DOBRAS cohort.

With the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, data monitoring and collecting in the manufacturing process become essential. Pointer meter reading recognition (PMRR) is a key element in data monitoring throughout the manufacturing process. However, existing PMRR methods have low accuracy and insufficient robustness due to issues such as blur, uneven illumination, tilt, and complex backgrounds in meter images.

Design, Development, and Testing of Machine Learning Models to Estimate Properties of Friction Stir Welded Joints.

Materials (Basel)

December 2024

Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, College of Applied Industrial Technology, Jazan University, Jazan 45142, Saudi Arabia.

This paper estimates friction stir welded joints' ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and hardness using six supervised machine learning models (viz., linear regression, support vector regression, decision tree regression, random forest regression, K-nearest neighbour, and artificial neural network). Tool traverse speed, tool rotational speed, pin diameter, shoulder diameter, tool offset, and tool tilt are the six input parameters in the 200 datasets for training and testing the models.

Increased blood pressure upon standing is considered a cardiovascular risk factor. We investigated the reproducibility of changes in aortic blood pressure, heart rate, stroke volume, cardiac output, and systemic vascular resistance during three passive head-up tilts (HUT) in 223 participants without cardiovascular medications (mean age 46 years, BMI 28 kg/m2, 54% male). Median time gap between the first and the second HUT was 9 weeks and the second and the third HUT 4 weeks.
