A kinematic study was performed to examine the influence of elbow position on the range of supination and pronation of the forearm. The ranges of supination and pronation were measured in 50 volunteers (25 men and 25 women) using a custom-designed jig which constrained unwanted and confounding movements of the limb. Measurements were taken with the elbow in full extension, 45 degrees flexion, 90 degrees flexion and full flexion. The data showed a reciprocal relationship between the range of supination and the range of pronation of the forearm which depended on the degree of elbow flexion. As the elbow is flexed, the maximum angle of supination increases while the maximum angle of pronation decreases (p<0.001). The converse is true as the elbow is extended (p<0.001).

Background: Calcaneal fracture malunion (CFM) commonly occurs with multiple pathologic changes and progressive pain and difficulty walking. The purpose of this study was to propose a modified 3-plane joint-preserving osteotomy for the treatment of CFM with subtalar joint incongruence, and to compare its efficacy to subtalar arthrodesis.
Methods: A retrospective comparative analysis of the data of 56 patients with CFM admitted from January 2017 to December 2022 was performed.

Accurate head positioning is essential for diagnostics of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). This study aimed to quantify the head angles and angular velocities during traditional manual BPPV diagnostics in patients with positional vertigo. : A prospective, observational cohort study was conducted at a tertiary university hospital outpatient clinic.

Heart rate variability (HRV) is an important indicator of cardiac autonomic function. Given its clinical significance, reliable HRV assessment is crucial. Here, we assessed test-retest stability, as a key aspect of reliability, quantifying the consistency of a measure when repeated under the same conditions.

Background: There has been an increasing interest in elbow hemiarthroplasty to circumvent the problems with total elbow arthroplasty for comminuted distal humerus fractures in the elderly. The primary aim of the study is to assess the mid-term clinical and radiological outcomes of patients undergoing TEA and hemiarthroplasty for distal humerus fractures.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of data for patients undergoing hemiarthroplasty for distal humerus fractures (OTA- C3 Comminuted total articular fractures) was done.

Objective: To investigate the effectivess of arthroscopic Wafer surgery combined with triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) insertion point reconstruction in the treatment of Palmer type ⅡC combined with typeⅠB ulnar impingement syndrome.
Methods: The clinical data of 14 patients with Parlmer type ⅡC combined with type ⅠB ulnar impingement syndrome who met the selection criteria between July 2021 and April 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 7 males and 7 females with an average age of 43 years ranging from 16 to 59 years.
