Objectives: To develop and evaluate a method for detection of the total antibodies against hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) virus with improved sensitivity and simplified operation procedure.

Methods: The nucleic proteins of hantavirus were used as coating antigens as well as detection antigens labeled with horse radish peroxidase (HRP). The operation protocol was established, optimized and compared with indirect fluorescence assay (IFA).

Results: The specificity of this method was 100 percent in the test of different human sera and 4-8 times more sensitive than IFA. And, it is simpler without requiring any change of the reagents, different sources of samples did not affect the results of the test.

Conclusion: This method is specific, sensitive and simple for detection of the total antibodies in sera against hantavirus, could be used for the screening of Hantavirus infection in human and host rodent animals.

Background: Risk factors and mechanisms of cognitive impairment (CI) after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) are unclear. This study used a neuropsychological battery, MRI, ERP and CSF and plasma biomarkers to predict long-term cognitive impairment after aSAH.

Materials And Methods: 214 patients hospitalized with aSAH (n = 125) or unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA) (n = 89) were included in this prospective cohort study.

Sheeppox and Goatpox are highly contagious transboundary viral diseases of sheep and goats caused by Capripoxvirus, respectively. This study describes the development of indirect ELISA and its serodiagnostic potential as an alternative to the gold standard serum neutralization test (SNT). The homologue of vaccinia virus, ORF 117 (A27L) gene of the Romanian Fenner (RF) strain of Sheeppox virus (SPPV) was used for producing the full-length recombinant A27L (rA27L) protein (∼22 kDa) in a prokaryotic expression system.

Purpose: As Bladder EpiCheck (BE) is a promising urinary biomarker for diagnosis and follow up of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), there are no studies evaluated this tool for second transurethral resection (TUR) indication. We aim to evaluate the performance of BE in predicting residual tumor before second TUR in NMIBC and its effects on clinical decision making.

Methods: A total of 50 patients who were diagnosed with NMIBC and indicated for a second TUR were included in the study prospectively.

Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a common pathogenic situation that arises throughout all liver surgeries, including liver transplants. We aimed to compare the preventive effects of valsartan (VST) against valsartan + sacubitril (LCZ696) on hepatic injury caused by IRI. A total of thirty-six male Westar albino rats were split into six groups randomly: sham, IRI, VST + IRI, LCZ696 + IRI, VST, and LCZ696.

Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, 40100, Kirsehir, Türkiye.

The present study was conducted on specific skeletal muscles of six weaned male kids from each of the Angora, Hair, Honamlı, and Kilis goat breeds. The relationships between the expression of myogenic factor 5 (Myf5) and myogenic factor 6 (Myf6) genes and muscle fibre characteristics were analysed. Muscle samples from the longissimus dorsi (LD) and semitendinosus (ST) were collected from six 90-day-old weaned male kids of each breed.
