The postural reactions of 10 moderate PD patients and 10 age matched controls were studied during stance on a sinusoidally back and forth moving platform during 5 blocks of 10, 1-min trials. Free stance was followed by weight bearing, lowering or raising the center of gravity (COG) by 10%. Next, a book was balanced on the head and finally, forward inclination was constrained. Normal stance strategy, including predictive muscle responses was found during free stance. Modifying COG height caused little response changes. Stance strategy became abnormal when head trajectory or forward inclination was restricted, indicating that ability to generate a nonstandard multi-joint stance strategy, rather than production of adequate stabilizing forces, is impaired in moderate, medicated PD patients.

Contemporary health professions education has long delineated the desired attributes of medical professionalism in the form of standard curricula and their role in forming professional behaviors (PBs) among aspiring doctors. However, existing research has shown the contradictory and powerful role of hidden curriculum (HC) in negatively influencing medical students' PBs through unspoken or implicit academic, cultural, or social standards and practices. These contrasting messages of formal curricula and HC lead to discordance and incongruence in future healthcare professionals developing professional identity formation.

Background: Examining movement patterns in athletic activities is crucial for understanding the mechanisms and contributing factors linked to lower limb injuries, with the knee joint being particularly vulnerable in team sports like handball.
Research Question: How does a handball-specific fatigue protocol affect trunk-knee and hip-knee intersegmental coordination during the drop vertical jump (DVJ) and sidestep cutting maneuver (SCM) in handball players?
Methods: Twenty female handball athletes participated, performing three trials of each task before and after undergoing the fatigue protocol. Using a motion capture system, the trunk, hip, and knee joint angles were recorded in all three planes and time-normalized to 100 % of the stance phase.

The ADA testing strategy for protein therapeutics was established almost two decades ago when assay methodologies were rudimentary, and serious immunogenicity-related safety issues had recently been observed with some biotherapeutics. The current testing paradigm employs multiple tiers and stringent cut points to minimize false negatives, reflecting a conservative stance towards ADA analysis. The development of highly sensitive ADA assay platforms and technologies such as humanized or fully human monoclonal antibody (mAb) drugs has put the traditional, resource-intensive 3-tiered testing approach under scrutiny.
