Conventional suggestion-based tests of hypnotizability have been criticized because they confound hypnotic and nonhypnotic suggestibility. One way around this might be to measure hypnotizability in terms of differences in suggestibility before and after hypnotic induction. However, analysis of data from a 1966 classic study by Hilgard and Tart confirms that difference scores are subject to statistical and methodological problems. Simple verbal hypnotic depth scales are presented as a useful alternative. They correlate well with conventional suggestion-based measures and enable the presence of hypnosis to be indexed independently of formal hypnotic induction procedures. Criticisms of depth scales are addressed, and normative data for the Long Stanford Scale of hypnotic depth are presented, along with data lending empirical support for the construct validity of depth reports.

This study aims to determine and compare the reference values of the haematological and biochemical blood parameters of two fish species collected from the Gökova Bay (Muğla, South-Western of Türkiye): the non-native and invasive Randall's threadfin bream, and the native Common pandora, . Both species inhabit the same environment and compete for resources. Blood samples were collected from a total of 100 fish samples (50 and 50 ) which were caught from a depth of 30 to 60 meters between February 2023 and July 2024.

Extensive ichnologic and sedimentologic datasets were gathered from six localities (Fortune Head, Fortune North, Grand Bank Head, Lewin's Cove, Little Dantzic Cove, and Point May) of the Ediacaran-Cambrian Chapel Island Formation at Burin Peninsula, southeastern Newfoundland, eastern Canada. 1708.2 m of sedimentary strata were logged at a centimeter scale (1:40) using a Jacob staff, in addition to 11.

Background: Visual dysfunction, including abnormal stereopsis, is a significant non-motor symptom in Parkinson's disease (PD) that can reduce quality of life and appears early in the disease. Abnormal stereopsis is associated with worsening of bradykinesia and freezing of gait, though the exact pathways linking stereopsis to motor symptoms remain unclear. Furthermore, in PD patients, the pedunculopontine nucleus and laterodorsal tegmental complex play an active role in sensorimotor control, and these areas provide cholinergic projections.

Background: Invasive species are a major threat to biodiversity on a global scale. Control strategies for these species could be improved by understanding and exploiting life history vulnerabilities. For example, most invasive anurans require waterbodies with specific characteristics for spawning; therefore, modifying these characteristics could influence spawning success.

Objective: The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of two different penetration depths of micro-osteoperforations (MOPs) on the rate of orthodontic tooth movement over 60 days. In addition, the amount of pain and discomfort caused by the MOP was evaluated.
Materials And Methods: A total of 22 patients (18-30 years) who need fixed orthodontic treatment were recruited and randomly assigned into two groups.
